It springs up unwelcome
Creeping like a shadow in the moonlight
Till it releases its momentum
Ripping the heart with one strike
There, but unreachable
Just slightly out of grip
Mocking as it is irretrievable
Like ripe fruit that can satiate
Like water than can quench dry thirst
Like ecstasy in its purest form
Like the sweetest nectar that can be offered
It never wavers nor wanes
Always there, just out of sight
