Only Ever You
It was only ever you who made me feel so special,
only you who could take the pain away.
It was only every you that loved me true,
And could bring a smile to my face.
Nothing else mattered when we were together,
the world fell when I saw you.
I can’t help but think about what would have happened if you would just remember.
Remember the drives we shared,
The hands we held,
The endless times of laughter.
But even after all we had,
You always ran back to her.
