Flurries
My hands were purple and numb
There was ice in my veins
And snowflakes on my hair
Soon to be nothing left besides my remains
My body was furiously shivering
Shaking like a leaf
Well, that’s a bit extreme
After all, it was quite brief
I had no toes and no hope
My breath was all I could see
I am praying to God that I can survive the angry white flurries
Falling all around me
Yet, it stopped.
Or maybe my heart did
I could feel the world fading around me
Either way, I was amid…
The white flurries that had seemed to relax
Which caused a more quiet scene
Where it was relatively peaceful
Instead of all fiery and mean

It follows the ABCB rhyme pattern and it shows how when people freeze, they lose track of the world around them: all they can think about is how cold they are.
