You told me
You told me to follow the light wherever it may lead
To follow it with careless creation
You told me that the light would not lie but only
Bring me to my truths
You told me when lost in a field of loneliness
Or that of sorrow that the light would bring me out
You told me to listen to the softened eco of the world
And then maybe my solution would come
You told me what you had been told by all the other ones
Ones who had come before, the ones who emptied their souls for redemption
Who ruined their soles to be better
You told me what you believed would be capable to save
But what you told me was wrong
You told me wrong
