I don’t realize how often you’re in my dreams
Not the fall asleep type of dreams
The dream when I’m a dying fire and you’re gasoline
You’re walking through a battle scene
You, in your black jeans
Showing me beauty more so than that of a magazine
Saving me from the crying
Yet here you are, keeping me smiling
Never just complying
I’ve always been here
