Blind eyes

Deception of the heart but not the mind,
fooled by her eyes, I surrendered mine
one look is all it took, for me to go blind
Clouded thoughts like the night sky in December
one thought is all it took for me to remember
manipulation and broken promises.
that’s were meant to be kept but instead just swept
untold stories will forever be silenced by my almond shaped eyes.
untold lies will forever be kept by your side.
diluted my heart and took my sight
now I walk with blind eyes and a wounded pride.
