The Box

When I was young,
I saw a special box .
It made me happy.
It made me smile.
I kept my memories in this box.
Small and special,
It sat on my window sill,
Filled with keepsakes
From time to time,
I would open the box and
Remember certain events from the
past and smile and laugh.
Memories from my childhood,
Not so long ago,
kept safe in my box.
