AUTUMN LEAVES AND APPLE SEEDS
I sit on the bench.
Swaying, squeaking with my body and the wind
as if it tells me stories of Its life.
Looking beyond the stone Porch
I see beautiful Autumn Leaves
Creating a warm-toned rainbow all around me.
Carried by the wind, carefree of their landing site
flowing with the wind as if it were on water heading downstream.
Focusing on the lawn, birds and squirrels scattering around looking for any source of food to supply them for the upcoming winters.
I noticed the crab apples littering the grass
some squashed on the sidewalk from the many daily walkers.
Trees drop more and more
hoping to carry apple seeds far and wide
sprouting more trees following an endless cycle.
But that's just my point of view from a single person sitting on a bench.

This is a piece about my point of view from sitting on my grandmother's bench on her porch and simply jotting down what I see all around the neighborhood.
