Dark and Gloomy Days
I see rain falling,
Birds chirping,
People running to their cars,
The people might not love the rain..
But the plants sure do.
Squirrels trying to find warm shelter in the trees,
Umbrellas covering everyone's head.
The dark and damp school full of kids,
It’s dark and gloomy outside,
Everyone’s tired.
The wet and soggy leaves sticking to everyone’s shoes,
The big puddle everyone has to walk through.
The big raindrops hitting all of the cars driving by.
All this happening while i’m inside the dark and gloomy school,
I wake up..
Wishing this was all a dream,
But realizing the bell just rang..

this piece holds much more value to me because I can see meaning behind it. I can read between the lines of "wishing this was all a dream, realizing the bell just rang.." it really means so much more. it's us high schoolers reality everyday. we go to school, its starting to get icky weather outside, grades start dropping. its a repeating cycle every year at the same time.
