THE GAME
I remember the first time I signed up
They took my name assigned my equipment and taught me THE GAME
I always had dreams of being the star player
Football was my game from the start
I had always played with heaps of heart
THE GAME started at pee wee to junior high to freshman year to where I am today
My very last high school game
I have become the player I always dreamt to be
THE GAME taught me many aspects of life
I became a leader a man and a better person
THE GAME shaped the person I have become today
To put God first, be committed, have integrity, work hard, and never betray
THE GAME I started so long ago
Time flies by and now I am down to my last
I put the uniform on and wear it with cougar pride
I am ready to go for my one last ride
I have become part of a family and bond that can never be broken
The memories I have made with stick with me for as long as I live
The time spent with my brothers and coaches
Will always be one of the best parts of my life
so hears to my last Friday night lights

This is a poem I wrote about my feelings towards football. It's been a game I loved since I was a little boy.
