The Last Time
The Last Time
One last time you will step onto that dance floor,
you know you just do not want to do poor.
You are about to take the step out of the curtain,
you and the team are very certain.
You all believe you will do amazing things,
the crowd starts parsing.
You all walk on with your heads held high,
this is the time you cannot be shy.
You remember all the long nights,
as you stand on the floor with all the lights.
The music starts blaring,
you can feel all the people staring.
Making sure you hit every beat,
you start moving your feet
It is like you are on repeat.
Your split jump is so high,
you feel like you are going to touch the sky.
Everyone in the stands cheer,
yelling CHS making it loud and clear.
The song is starting to come to an end,
you are going to full send.
One last smile,
you can put that one on file
You hear praising,
You all know you did amazing.
That was your very last chance,
to do what you love and dance.
You know it's very sad,
just praying you didn’t do bad.
