here lies she. 

she was beautiful, in a way that was indescribable. 

she shined like the rain, and helped nurture those around her. 

she smiled, as she helped provide.

she turned to lull the beings to sleep

she was so kind

so astounding

but people took that for granted, they used her

they took her gifts and demanded more. 

they shook her, and abused her. 

they took more than she could give. 

they strangled  her. 

ignored her cries until it was too late.

here lies she. 

here lies us. 

because we were to stupid see the truth. 

the earth is not invincible,

she tried so hard.

but big hearts are so foolish,

we were so foolish. 

we thought she would never leave us.

but here we are. 

at the death of a “loved” one. 

because here lies she. 

here lies earth. 

until she was at her last breath

she tried.
