Just In Your Way

A letter just for you

Admit it, I know you don’t care

But please just this once

Just bare my message

I long for what we used to be

When I was at the top of the world

But you just let me crumble all the way down

You gave me away

Without a replacement

Never did you want me

Neither did you need me

Maybe that’s why you didn’t want someone to take my place

You only listen till the effect, effects you

I know you gave up

As well as I

Everything you witness

Everything you hear

Everything you desire

Must be a duplicate of your thoughts

But all that you see is only what you want

What you hear is what you prefer

You take out the words and letters that you resent

We may be blood

But you're not family

“Fix yourself”

You can’t take out many words from that, now can you?

Not like you’ll listen anyways

I’m sure you’ll find a way anyways

A way to bewilder me

But like you said

You made it clear

I'm in the wrong place

Just in your way

The Poem is about relationships with the hard parts of family. We are related to family but that doesn't mean that they are family. Family is someone thats there for you whenever you need them and put you first. Not all family mebers do this, would you still consider them to be true family?
