Everything You Can Do With One Leg
You can wear a prosthetic
you can keep your fashion aesthetic
You can drive a car
You can sit and have a drink at the bar
You can coach your son's basketball game You can sit and roast s'mores at an open flame Even kayak down a rushing river with friends Or golf until the day ends
You can have a successful job.
You can raise a happy family, or work for the mob You can do more than what this poem says
Even sing a feature with Shawn Mendez

I wrote this piece during my fight with cancer and during the healing process of the surgery I had to remove the entirety of my left leg, left pelvis and some of my spine. I was not thinking very positively and honestly started writing this poem as everything you can’t do with one leg. But a beautiful quote my wise mother told me gave me a change in heart “pain is certain, suffering is optional” so I decided to write this fun rhyme about everything you can do with one leg.
