Free Falling
Falling
falling
fast
Rushed days, stuttered smiles, a bright haze,
creased converse, platform converse
Falling off the platform, the converse?
Falling fast stumbling, mumbling, fumbling
Platform of those before, rising the platform ahead
Rushed over the edge, pushed, hushed
And slow
slow
falling
falling slow
not quick enough
Can’t do anything, caged, blocked, staged
But they can, but they can’t
They can and they fall
We can’t and still fall
fall
falling
fast slow
No one even knows, quick fast, mourned the past
Can’t go back
Yet want to and can’t, and wont
The past too sad, fast falling free falling
Crushed leaves, scratched knees, broken doors
broken walls, missed calls, broken doors
The hole in the door, broken door, they weren’t too happy with that
Stop falling, they fall their own
Stop falling, no more broken doors
Falling fists, falling kicks, falling phones,
falling
Now pick up the pace
not quick enough, falling not fast enough
Back on track the papers falling, late night calling
customers yelling, drinks falling
And they fall too fast
too fast for the mind too fast fast and fast
sped past, cars sped past and now still too fast
And car flipping, failing, falling
falling past trees, down the ditch
and falling blood falling
falling
and stop.
