Nourishment
My rage and sorrow hasten
And so I decided to go out
Perhaps the Earth will soothe me
The steady breeze gently caresses me
The sun shines brightly against my aged skin bringing me back to my youth
The timid birds and babbling squirrels keep me company listening to my problems
I feel the moist soil under my feet
The pressure that kept me down slowly erupts and I become free
The Earth is a majestic kind being
She mothers and feeds me
The walls protecting my heart open
I’m freed from the agonizing pressure I collected from my artificial surroundings
I run frolic through fields of flowers and giggle like a child
I ascend and become myself, the truest self
I enjoy writing and indulging in poetry and literature.
