Moonlight
3 am is morning but it feels like night
When the world is asleep and at its coldest
I lie awake with a heavy heart
As the thoughts in my mind get too dark
I think of my future and what it’ll be
If I’ll be remembered or if I’ll be seen
How is it possible
I’ve only got one life?
There’s so much to do
But so little time
So I lay awake in my bed
With terror in my head
My thoughts filled with sorrow
Thinking, will I wake up tomorrow?
This day could be my last
And god how I’ve wasted it
I tell myself I’ll do better
If I wake up I’ll fix my mess
