May I Ask Humans?
May I ask humans?
Why do I feel trapped,confused?
Out of place?
Am I in your way?
Why do you insist on inflicting pain?
The lights are too bright,
so I freeze in place hoping for you to avoid me , \
Others just care less or even lose control.
May I ask a human ? What is that strange contraption?
It feels cold, solid, hard as if stepping onto a hard rock surface,
It's anything but grass.
I miss how things used to be, quiet, lush trees cover the area and plenty of grass to eat on.
The roads are not very easy to navigate
Nor time when a contraption is coming our way.
So may I ask again humans? Why take our way of living with gun force and aggression if we can’t talk or fight back?
Why even make us suffer for your personal enjoyment?
I beg, please stop making cutting down our trees,
To make another route home because we need a route too.
This poem is inspired to get a point across that animals feel trapped and need back their natural forest. But the world keeps cutting them down and making roads, that animals then get hit with and die.
