The Gardener
It was my job
To plant lilies, daisies, orchids too
Stems thorny and stained with my blood
Petals vibrant with color
The garden were my children
Of whom I would never be able to bear
Because my body failed me
People did not bat an eye to this garden full of life

Hi! My name is Sarah E. Writing for me is cathartic because it is the most creative way to express myself. It provides a safe space, and is not something that is "right or wrong." Poetry is one of my favorite forms of writing because of its short yet impactful utilization of words. Apart from writing, I love watching rom-coms and baking.
