June 2022 Poetry Contest: Pain
I awake to the day and get out of bed.
I grown to the throbbing pain in my head.
“Ow!” I shriek, as I begin to walk,
“You okay?” My mom says with a nock.
I know my body is in pain,
But after all, it’s part of the gain.
