I guess betrayal is a good thing

Friends come and go, they find other people to spend their time with,

That's how life works.

Of all the ways to break my heart though,

It had to be the hardest to stand back up from.

I guess betrayal is a good thing

But why would someone do that?

Someone that you've let close to your heart, 

Sink a frostbitten knife into it.

It opens your eyes to their true intentions,

It has to be,

Otherwise I'll lose myself in the pain, yet
