Life & Death
Life is something we take for granted,
We smile and laugh,
Scream and cry,
We follow blindly through the path until it’s too late.
Death is something that strikes us by surprise,
One minute we’re filled with happiness,
One minute it’s as if we’re invincible,
Before you know it you’re empty,
Life and death is something that scares me,
I’m scared of what life has instore,
I’m scared of how much more suffering I will endorse,
I’m scared of how much more cruelty it will take before I crumble down.
I’m scared of how I will end,
I’m scared of if it’s all meaningless,
I’m scared that I’ve done everything and nothing all at once.
