I hope to be free one day,

I hope to be free like the waves in the ocean,

Free like the water in the sea,

I hope to have a purpose like sun and the moon,

One day I hope to feel something new,

I hope that I can smile and feel the happiness throughout my body,

I hope that I can go to bed without tears on my cheeks,

I hope that I can scream words of happiness rather than words of despair.

I hope that I can be me,

I hope to show people who I am and not the fear,

One day I hope to have the strength to stare fear in the eyes and overpower it,

I hope to not be scared of the future,

To not be scared of humanity,

To not be afraid of who I am or whom I become,

I hope that one day, for time first time, life doesn't betray me and give me the scraps left behind…
