Granted
Ever realized, without a doubt
The good ‘ol times we talk about
We never knew we were in them till they were gone.
The games we played in mornings and evenings
The wins and losses enjoyed at 6:06
The neighbourhood aura and our old gold friends
Full of nostalgia is the memory collage, the chills it sends.
Perfectly innocent were those times
To those times I wish we never bid our goodbyes
We were so naive and pure
That we didn’t even know what we were in for sure.
Sometimes I feel I was better off before
They should have never opened the adolescent doors
If sad burdens are a part of being intelligent wise
I’d rather give myself away in light folly
Unbeknownst to it all, stupid and silly
At least I’d be happy
At least I’d be happy.
