My Shattered Mirror

I look into my shattered mirror
Every night and morning
Looking through the cracks
Ever so distoring
I paint my face with makeup
I feel obligated to wear
I hate my jeans with the tear
When I stare into that fractured mirror
I do not see me
Rather I see the person I feel I have to be
