summer makes me sick
the wording is a little harsh
but i heard it's good to be honest so,
the beautifully bloomed flowers
the shining sun
the ludicrously lush trees
it all makes me want to cry
everything is so full of life
the world is moving and the birds are singing
and it's making me dizzy
although not lightheaded
because in truth
i still feel as heavy as i did last winter
and just as bleak and weary
as the trees then too
