The Vanity of Castle Builders
We build
A castle,
Decked with the glitters of the world,
Riches
Fame
Pleasure
Procured with an effort of a lifetime.
But despite delay,
We realize
The castle
Mounts up to
Dust.
Only,
Scatters without a trace,
Yet, its dazzling facade that misleads its builders.
And despite delay,
Behold,
The turbid flood waters
Overtakes the castle of ours,
That was us.
