Your petals as soft as silk

Your color bright and bold

You grow tall and strong

But thorns you now hold

You dance in the wind

And prance in the rain

But little did I know

You lash out in vein

You stab me

And grab me

And tear my hands apart

My hands drip with blood

Like the color of your heart

But still you stand

So lovely yet so cold

Your petals as soft as silk

Your color bright and bold

You grow tall and strong

But thorns you still hold

The author's comments:

I like writing short poems and going to school. When I grow up I want to write children's books. Writing poems is a way I can express my feelings. I enjoy writing very much.
