There’s a difference
to be loved and to love.
But to have love, genuine love…
That’s the love that is everlasting
The comfortability, stability, and loyalty
The reassurance and confidence
The late night drives
The picnics under the sunset
The walks in the the park
The mark of our everlasting love
on the giant maple tree
With nobody but you and me
No connection to the time
ticking around us
This is our world
Our love will last forever.
Nobody can stop that.
