Ode to Emily
You are You.
You have come a long way and you’re here.
Living the life, you once hated.
Do not get it wrong, I still hate it, but not as much.
You have changed, changed for the better.
Changed because you were exhausted of your past life.
The new you is not exhausted.
There are hard times, but they are easier for you to battle. Way easier.
Your surroundings changed you.
They are molding you for your future self.
You can sometimes doubt yourself and prohibit yourself from doing what you truly want to do.
It is okay to doubt yourself—because your doubts make you stronger.
You heal from the pain and use the pain as your support.
You did it on your own.
You are doing it on your own.
You thought you needed someone to help pull you out, but you did not.
And you still don’t.
You are you.
