Breakfast
I walked in the kitchen feeling so mighty fine
The smell of the bacon battered me
While the sun slowly peeked through the blinds
It sought for our faces but that it could not find
As quiet as a mouse and as sly as a fox
I crept around the house like a cat in a box
Ready to eat, very light on my feet
I figured some pancakes would be very neat
The bacon would pop as loud as gunshots
And the sausage would sizzle as loud as a whistle
The sun completely peeked through the blinds
And yet again it was me it can’t find
The breakfast was ready, so my plate was made heavy
The food was so hot like the sun at two o'clock
It went in my belly with mouthfuls of jelly
Now my eyes are heavy with my full belly
