A Graduation
From the times we were pulling our mother’s soft skirts
To the times we were trying our father’s big shoes
Soon we were old enough to be sent to school
History started writing itself
Now, kindergarten was blast, but now that’s the past
Now 1st grade was much harder
And the years to come were much of labor
This was a thought of a naïve 3rd grader
We finally left from elementary school
Why would we say goodbye?
Teachers became more backbreaking
The homework got more strenuous
And middle school was unbelievable
Either the perfumed gym rooms
Or the stale food luck
Made all of us peculiar
Those 2-3 years summed it up
We left middle school nervous for high school
Freshmen at the bottom of the pole
COVID kicking us out
School came back and we grew up so fast
We became juniors in a single clap
Why would I want to say goodbye?
They say “Success has many memories and shines”
The chapter was closing as we made up our minds
Those hands we once held are letting go
I guess its time.
I must say
goodbye.
