You Are Love
“People romanize human death.
The most inhumane thing I have ever heard.”
I journal, as reality becomes reality.
I lead myself into the ball.
Fancy dresses with lonely faces.
No glamor, no gold.
Just the same word all told.
At the velvet laced staircase, stands a figure.
Gazing down solely at me.
Take a second, alarm in motion.
The most beautiful of the forlorn faces.
We both blush as the sky turns shaded.
Withal, I can see it.
The light is so very dim.
But I can see it.
Love.
Love is something special.
Never forged but never forgotten.
Love has estate in all of us.
No matter price.
The night elapses.
I peruse the images from earlier.
I’ve been told tales of old.
Never believed a lie in my life…
…Until I was informed that the meaning of life is a lie.
Wildflowers cross the fenced school yard.
Paper etched with words, so charming, settles at the head of my desk.
Reads: “No, I don’t want you. I need you.”
I glance over at the one who wrote my life back to me.
I knew it all along.
Purpose is brought to life in the most crucial of times.
Unlucky in a cower.
Lips so delicate.
A cheeky grin crosses my face.
Unlucky in power.
I followed the story so closely, I changed the ending.
A sheltered mind released at last.
I thought I wanted to be alone, but loneliness accomplishes what exactly?
I would rather live my life than die knowing I didn’t.
At dawn on an ordinary date.
I finally believed in myself.
The life I once knew, is now the life I never knew.
Thank you my love.
You are love.
