My name is-

No, I have to go deeper. Make them believe there is testosterone in my chest, not tissue. Put the ‘man’ in manipulate. Change the scene, create the illusion.

My name is-

I’ll use my passion to bind. Let my words wrap around me and pull. I am strong, I am power, I am man. Let me move the thunder from my footsteps into my vocal cords.

I will boom against the brick.

Hear the flame.

It is not from my mouth, not my throat.

It is a fire.

It is my chest.

My name is-

My name is Mateo Gabriel.

This poem acts as a symbol for me.

It represents me finding my voice, my name, and my identity.
