Boredom
There is nothing to do,
Nothing to look forward to,
I slouch on my wrenched couch
Glaring towards my popcorn ceiling
I grab my T-V remote, flipping through the channels on my T-V,
I stand up, strolling in circles in my living room, pondering.
I walk up to my kitchen, where the floors are still cracked
the wood tearing apart.
I slowly open my refrigerator, dazzling up and down,
there is nothing I desire to consume
I open the refrigerator again, the cold air breezing onto me,
I’m anticipating more food to magically
pave its way into the vacant refrigerator,
Nothing to eat again.
Letting out an immense breath, I saunter my way to my brother’s room
to command attention
Without knocking, I open the door to my brother’s room,
hopping onto my brother’s bed,
jumping on the squeaky mattress, causing his stuffed animals to glide in the air.
My brother forces me out,
I slump and whisper to myself
as my voice echoes across the quiet hallway.
I ponder again and again.
The clock is ticking as I am strolling in circles again in the living room, contemplating
with nothing to do.
Something about me is that in my free time, I love to play badminton.
