Dear God

i watch as the rich shuffle by each day

they pretend they don´t see me

but their pitiful and disgusted glances let me know that they do

little do they know I don´t even want their money

sure a few spare coins thrown into my cup would be nice

but I just want to talk

to feel seen

to be loved

this ripped up sleeping bag and small bag of musty clothes ain´t enough to comfort me

they all say that they follow and love you God but little do they know I'm your son too

they ignore me even though I am your child

i watch each day as the sun sets on my chance of finding a companion

i can't do this forever

please send me a friend

please send me hope

please send me love

amen
