I took our time for granted because I thought you would always stay.

Missing you comes in waves and i’m drowning tonight,

I’ve been so broken over you that getting out of bed is now a fight.

When I hear your name or see your face my heart continues to break,

Cause how do you say you care for someone, then cause them so much ache.

You were my person, the one I called when I needed someone,

Now when I pick my phone up to call you, my heart goes cold and numb.

I saw your name on my screen, and I looked down at my phone.

For we talked everyday, everything was the same, or as far as I had known.

I opened the message and my heart dropped to the floor,

I jumped up trying to hold everything in, until I shut the door.
