Staring, Staring
Everybody is staring
At me? But I’m doing what
I’m supposed to do

Why are they staring?
Wow, it’s hot up here
It’s their eyes
It feels like they’re
Melting my face off

Plop
What was that?
I look down and see
My smiling face
Resting at my feet

I wrote this piece based off of my experiences while acting in my 8th grade play with terrible anxiety.
