Art
I am neither an artist nor a poet,
For I do not know how to thread together
lines that hold so much beauty and grace
like Edith Sitwell and know not the paths
a brush must walk like Leonardo Da Vinci.
I do know how to feel, how to feel so
deep it seems as if I have drowned myself
within words of art and lived within the very
frames creatives have bore.
I know how to feel the laughter of 8 year old boys
as they run through fields of sunflowers and poppies.
I know how to feel the explosive and destructive love between Romeo's
and their Juliet's.
I know how to be an empath and that itself is an art.
The Art of being able to connect and understand one of the greatest
phenomenons in the Cosmos and beyond.

I'm excited to see what people have to say about this poem as it is one of my personal favorites.
