Show Me the Storm
Don’t tell me she is angry
Show me how she flails around as the police officer tries to handcuff her.
Don’t tell me she is scared
Show me how she ducks under the desks, hiding from the robbers
Don’t tell me why the light is flickering
Show me how the storm is raging, how the debris is falling
Don’t tell me she is sad
Show me how she curls up in ball in the corner of the cafeteria
Don't just show their emotions
Show me how you relate with their emotions and thoughts
Show me how you help them cope with those emotions and thoughts.
