To me, silence is like a storm
Its stillness is like lightning
Striking the mouths of people, leaving them electrocuted with peace and only hushed, hot, and heavy breath
Weary words and tired sentences progressively, over time, fade away
Its silvery, smokey clouds expanding of secrets and lies
getting larger every second across the vast sky
Its winds dancing throughout rooms
tousling the outside noises leaving everything softly muted in gloom
and the rain droplets of quietness multiplying or growing, pounding the ground making
tiny puddles of only thoughts and voiceless opinions however
The thing about a storm, though, is that it does not last forever…
