Once Upon a Tear Drop

A child sat in a shell
voices around muffled
By the thick walls of insecurity
Bound by the hurt
Scared by the monsters they called people
Utterly beaten
by the world that was supposed to be their oyster
robbed of their childhood
by the same person who trapped them
once upon a tear drop
held a bruised child
