I’m telling you this not to scare you, 

But to dare you

To dream up a different reality

A reality in which you’re loved, you are cherished and are marveled at

Now, I know marveling isn’t easy when you hold your eyes shut

The world can be a scary place when you’re going in blind

But it only takes 1 second to open those big green eyes 

So that way you see it isn’t so scary anymore

He can’t hurt you anymore

He can’t get to you anymore

I know it was scary,

But all on your own,

You did it

You dreamt up a different reality

A better one, a brighter one

One where you are marveled at

Your big green eyes are protected now

You can put those once shining stars back in them

For you, and your green eyes are marveled at

And have the biggest, brightest stars

Filled with dreams and a happy reality 

Don’t be scared to open those green eyes

I know it's scary,

But there’s a reason I told you all this

To prepare you, to dare you

To make you realize you already did dream a different reality. 

You are now living a different reality
