Love lasts

Through the rain I hear him say "I will love you anyway."
As the rain continues I smile and say "I will love you anyway."
As we stand there in the street with the rain still pouring.
I wished time could stop.
Little did I know that's the last day I'd see him.
After that day he was the reason we all were there.
We all sat there crying.
Weeping.
From his death bed I hear him say "I love you anyway."

As I read the beginning, I thought it was about a breakup...The Death was an unexpected twist...The last line was so touching...♡♡♡
