moirai
and as we parted i could feel the bond snap into place.
the tug on my chest i was almost certain he felt too.
a hesitation as we took different turns at the fork in the road, our paths intertwined for a fleeting moment, ripped away after mere seconds spent striding, basking in the company of one another.
unsure of the separation, pressured by the aligned beat of our hearts to turn back to each other and continue our rendezvous.
the flutter of butterflies heard from miles away echos down the lane, air filling my veins.
i could have kept floating, perfectly content, but i chose to turn, to leave a fog of mystery and hope, a daydream both in him and myself to experience this once again,
soon.
