Clementine
Bright like the sun resting on the ocean on a warm summer evening
In my hand it feels like the rough kickball my friends and I tossed around when we were young
Removing the peel sounds like the ripping of a tan bandaid off my knee my mom put on me after I fell
The soft fruit smells like citronella bug spray given to protect me from lurking mosquitos
The clementine has the saccharine taste of childhood memories, but has the sour aftertaste of fleeting youth

This was a school project! I'm not the best writer, but I enjoyed making this anyway :]
