Laundry is like a cinder block

The task weighs you down

It’s impossible to avoid

No matter how awful everything is, the laundry needs to be done each week

you’re a tent being poorly pinned down by a heavy slab of concrete 

and although the task drives you crazy, the routine keeps you sane
