Ring True
Love is a diamond ring,
a new shining ride to the future.
Given as an act of intimacy or devotion,
cherishing the deep affection.
The dents reflecting everlasting love
or so we thought.
The rashes the cuts, the scrapes and peeling,
the green color appears from the fake.
The hurt in your heart and the tears in your eyes.
The ring rang true of the absence of love.
