Clementine
Oh sweet sweet Clementine, what beauty you prevail
Like a blissful sunset on a summer evening,
watching the sun go into hiding over the horizon
Beautiful hues of orange engulf you
Your rugged skin
Intricate details, tell a story
No pore is the same, far from perfection
And yet I can’t help but admire
The mask you’ve been hiding behind
Remove the flesh - an empowering facade
Welcoming the sound of new beginnings, vulnerability
Acceptance - for this is who you truly are
Purity is your aroma, potent all around, bold, daring
Though gentle and kind to the nose, it fills the air,
Oh my! how you are distinctive
My dearest Clementine
Intense freshness
Awfully refined acidity, leaves an eccentric craving
Can’t help but to love you, want more of you
Oh sweet, sweet Clementine.
