Fear
It was late one morning on a cloudy day
we were all getting ready for lunch.
computers were opened
with paper and pencils out
As we all worked quietly.
The next thing that happened was scariest of all,
The classroom was built with fear and tears.
As the intercom came on, as loudly as possible
our principal announces “we are on lockdown mode”.
At first, there were no reactions but
then students gasp with fear.
Our teacher shuts our door and blinds,
I turn my head quickly when the light switches down.
We grab the desks and put them against the door, protecting ourselves,
As we all sit as far away from the door.
The students were silent, with books in their hands then
I hear some footsteps in the hallway.
Whose could they be?
The pencils and paper were scattered on the floor.
The people's hearts racing, as the tension grows.
As many students fear for their lives,
then I heard the door open.
